Jhonny Peralta of Detroit, Nelson Cruz of Texas and Everth Cabrera of San Diego were among the dozen or so players who will accept their 50-game suspensions for their involvement with the Biogenesis Clinic, according to numerous reports. The suspensions should go into effect immediately. We still await official word from baseball about their official fate, along with what will become of Alex Rodriguez, who is expected to appeal any suspension.
Cruz appeared to be the last hold out, other than A-Rod, toward accepting their suspension.

Jon Heyman of CBS reported Sunday the list is comprised of 12 players, including Francisco Cervelli, Jesus Montero and minor-leaguers Fernando Martinez, Jordan Norberto Fautino de los Santos and Cesar Puello.
As we’ve done for the last few weeks, we still wait on what happens with A-Rod, who is rumored to be receiving a minimum 214-game ban which would keep him out until 2015. All signs point toward Rodriguez appealing his suspension and playing tonight in Chicago.
