Anthony Stokes, Irish Soccer Player, Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Elvis Impersonator

Peterhead v Celtic - Scottish Cup Fourth RoundAnthony Stokes has been arrested for his alleged role in the assault of an Elvis impersonator in June. Stokes, an Irish striker for the Scottish Premiership club Celtic, was arrested and brought in for questioning, but not charged when he returned to Dublin with for a friendly with Liverpool over the weekend. From The Scotsman:

Elvis impersonator Anthony Bradley, 42, was treated for a suspected broken nose and chipped teeth following an incident at Buck Whaley’s nightclub on Dublin’s Leeson Street on June 8.

What sparked the incident is unclear, but I bet the story sounded much funnier before the guy ended up int he hospital and the police got involved.
