Geno Smith, a sophomore defensive back who ended up playing in all 13 games for Alabama last season, was arrested for driving under the influence by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend. Smith worked his way into the starting line up as a freshman and is expected to help replace Jets rookie Dee Milliner in the Crimson Tide defensive backfield this season.
On his international debut, no less.
He’s still only 22. Remember that.
