ESPN vs. Fox Sports 1: and on Monday, Jay Glazer Delivered a Scoop

21st Century Fox, Inc And FOX Sports 1 Rings The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening BellFox Sports 1 had its debut Saturday night, but the head-to-head battle with ESPN began this afternoon with Regis Philbin’s show, ‘Crowd Goes Wild.’ (PTI was off ESPN due to the Little League World Series.) I watched the entire Philbin show, which is 30 minutes too long, and it appeared everyone was heavily caffeinated. But it was Day 1.

At 6, Jay Glazer’s NFL Show, Fox Football Daily, went up against Sportscenter, and as expected, Glazer delivered a scoop: He had video of Antonio Smith of the Texans ripping off the helmet of Miami’s Richie Incognito during a preseason game, and swinging it at the lineman. Smith will certainly be fined/suspended for it.

Here’s a quick graphic you can look at while you critique the shows in the comments section and poke around the new digs we’ve got.
