Dorell Wright Gave His Son Two Middle Names and Used His Former Miami Heat Teammates as Inspiration

2013 BET Experience - Movie Premiere "Let Me Explain" With Kevin HartDorell Wright, the NBA journeyman who just inked a 2-year, $6 million deal with Portland, has a great story to tell about his young 5-year old son. From the Portland Tribune:

Family includes girlfriend Mia Lee and 5-year-old son Devin Quentin Dwyane Wright, the latter name honoring teammates Quentin Richardson and Dwyane Wade from Dorell’s time in Miami.

“My job was to find the middle names,” he says. “Those two guys I looked up to. They took me under their wings my first years in the NBA. They are people I admire, both professionally and personally.”

How we determined the two middle names of our children: We went with first names that just missed the cut. Also, we wanted to avoid three initials that spelled out something (ie, A.S.S., P.O.P., H.A.M.). You care, I know. [via the Portland Tribune]
