Brazilian Soccer Fans Bloodied During Fight with Police; Cops Responded with Pepper Spray

Earlier this month, supporters of Brazilian soccer clubs Vasco da Gama and Corinthians tried to brawl with each other inside a stadium. It featured just about every soccer fan fighting trope: makeshift weapons, fans without shirts, bloodied fans without shirts, police in riot gear, pepper spray and crying children.

Obviously this isn’t a good look as the country prepares to host the World Cup next June. In a weird way, some people in Brazil would probably prefer if you focused on fighting fan videos rather than the fact many hotels and businesses are planning up to a 500 percent mark-up for visiting fans during the tournament next summer.

Sounds fun!
