Colts Rookie John Boyett Arrested, Reportedly Tells Police "you can't arrest me, I'm a Colts player"
By Tim Ryan
Colts rookie safety John Boyett was arrested and jailed at 2:52 am Monday morning after being charged with resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct
According to a report, Boyett had been refused entry into a bar — Tiki Bob’s for our Indy readers — and then began cursing at patrons and people on the sidewalk. Boyett eventually left, but naturally returned to the bar later in the evening where he was encountered by police. The former Oregon Duck then fled on foot before being caught in an alley where he apparently kept repeating, “you can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player.”
Keep in mind, Boyett was selected in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft and currently resides on the Colts reserve/non-football injury list, also known as the neighborhood where you should never, ever be shouting “don’t you know who I am, bro?”
