Jameis Winston torched Pittsburgh in his first college game, completing 25 of 27 passes for 356 yards and scoring five total touchdowns.
Vegas Betting organizations, wherever they are based, were impressed. Starting the season off the board, the redshirt freshman is now co-favorite to win the Heisman at 4-1 at 5Dimes.
Jameis Winston wasn’t even listed on the board for the 2013 Heisman before last week; now he’s a 4-1 co-fav w/ Teddy Bridgewater at 5Dimes

Bovada lists him as a mere third-favorite at 7-1, behind Bridgewatwer (11-2) and Braxton Miller (13-2). But, nonetheless, impressive.
Winston does not play a Top 20-ish caliber defense until FSU plays at Florida on Nov. 30. Will voters acknowledge him if he’s the best player on the field? Or, will the knighthood brigade use Manziel as an example to teach young Jameis humility?
