Matthew Probert, a 21-year old rugby player for England’s Scunthorpe Rugby Club, was attacked outside a nightclub earlier this week. The attack left Probert with a claw hammer stuck in his head. (Here’s a picture, if you’re brave.) Probert is currently stable and recovering in the hospital following successful surgery to remove the hammer. A man has been arrested for attempted murder in connection with the attack.
