USC Players Held Meeting, Without Telling Lane Kiffin [UPDATE]

lane-kiffin-ice-cream-manLane Kiffin began the week, following an atrocious performance against Washington State, ducking questions from his own PR guy on YouTube. The embattled USC coach asserted, during said YouTube video, that he spent some significant time discussing his quarterback choice with Max Wittek. Wittek disputed that account.

He also informed the media there was no players only meeting on Sunday. There was one, according to Marqise Lee, without Kiffin being made aware. He seems to have his finger firmly on the pulse of his team.

Remain calm, USC fans. All is well!

UPDATE: Marqise Lee clarified matters, sort of. He now claims it wasn’t a “players only meeting,” just a “regular get together with a few players.”

We’re sure there was ample discussion about staying positive and moving forward.

Remain calm, USC fans. All is well!
