Mike Vick was picked up and slammed into the ground on this pass attempt in the 4th quarter against San Diego, and had to temporarily leave the game. Nick Foles replaced Vick and threw an incomplete pass. Then Vick returned and threw an incomplete pass.
Jarius Wynn of San Diego probably just knocked the wind out of Vick, but that play was significant because it helped lead to the Eagles having to settle for a field goal to tie the game … and then the Chargers went down the field – yes, floppy Philip Rivers pulled it off – and Nick Novak kicked the game-winning 46-yard field goal. Final: San Diego 33, Philadelphia 30.
