Ron Washington wasn’t too happy with Alex Rios’ decision not to attempt to tag up from third on a shallow fly ball to center off the bat of Craig Gentry. The Rangers were up 3-0 on the Astros at the time. Rios faked a move towards home but retreated to the bag unwilling to test Carlos Corporan’s arm, which didn’t sit too well with the Rangers’ manager.

The Rangers have since scored 9 more runs extending their lead over the worst team in the league.

Update: Rios became only the 8th player in Rangers’ history to hit for the cycle and he did it before the 7th inning. Surely Ron can’t still be mad about that decision in the third not to run.
