Mercury Morris is upset that he has to watch this drivel. One of the teams entering tonight’s game will leave at 4-0, joining Denver, Kansas City, New England, and Seattle. The five teams that are still undefeated will tie the most ever after four games, matching the number reached in 2003 and 2009.

These two franchises do not have much history on the field, but are tied together thanks to the Drew Brees free agency decision. Miami famously opted for Daunte Culpepper back in the 2006 offseason, and spent the larger part of the last seven years looking for a quarterback. New Orleans signed Drew Brees.

So, quick quiz. Which team has scored more points this year? And which has allowed fewer? The answers are the opposite of what you might expect. A year after being the worst defense in the league, the Saints are near the top in points allowed. In the return of Sean Payton, it has been much improved defense that has them at 3-0. Meanwhile, Miami has Ryan Tannehill averaging 7.7 yards per attempt, so far so good in year two.

Cameron Wake will miss this one, which means rookie Dion Jordan and Olivier Vernon will need to step up. Also, watch to see if the Dolphins can do anything to contain Jimmy Graham. He has the second most receiving yards by a tight end through three games, behind only Ben Coates in 1994.
