It’s good to be Bayern Munich right now.
The reigning Champions League winners show no signs of slowing down under new manager Pep Guardiola, destroying Manchester City 3-1 at the Eithad Stadium last week in the Champions League. The Bavarian giants have lost only one competitive match this season — the German Supercup in July.
With the international break coming up, the Bayern players and staff, along with their WAGs, took part in the Munich Oktoberfest celebration in traditional Bavarian grab. The sight of professional athletes in felt hats and lederhosen holding giant beers alongside their frauleins will always been amusing.
“Celebrate freely. Our next game isn’t for another two weeks. We can enjoy the beer,” chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.
Beer. Sports. Lederhosen.
We could be on to something.
