The reason the Chargers/Raiders game began at 11:35 EST was because O.co Coliseum needed to be converted from a baseball field to a football field. The A’s hosted the Tigers Saturday night – Oakland won, 1-0 – but the field couldn’t be turned around in time for the 4 pm Sunday start. Time lapse videos are radical, right? Also cool – both home teams won, as the Raiders held on for a 27-17 triumph. I’d like to note that I didn’t watch one second of either game. And NFL, please don’t make this a thing, because remember, you’re not always going to get a 4 pm classic like Broncos/Cowboys. In a perfect NFL world – seven 1 pm games, four 4 pm games.
