High School Football Game Delayed Because of Racially Derogatory Chant

burnt-hills-amsterdamBurnt Hills beat Amsterdam, 49-0 in Upstate New York high school football action on Saturday. To add insult to injury, the Burnt Hills student section started a derogatory change during the 4th quarter that almost ended the game. Students chanted “Amsterico,” a reference to Amsterdam’s Hispanic population. Burnt Hills’ coach Matt Shell had to get on the PA system and tell them to stop.
