Tom Brady Touchdown Pass with :05 Stuns Saints, 30-27

The New England Patriots were aggressive in the final three minutes of the 4th quarter. The New Orleans Saints had the lead and went conservative.

And the Patriots won, 30-27. And the Saints are no longer unbeaten (5-1).

First, Bill Belichick went for it on 4th down and short from inside his own 30, trailing 24-23. Somebody dropped a pass. The Saints went conservative, and settled for a field goal and 27-23 lead.

The Patriots got the ball back … and Tom Brady threw an interception. Fans poured out of the stadium. But the Saints, again, did nothing.

The Patriots got the ball back … and went 70 yards in 1:13, capped by a perfect Tom Brady to Kenbrell Thompkins TD pass. It left Rob Ryan, the Saints defensive coordinator, looking like this.
