James Montgomery III, was a practice player with the Northwestern women’s team as a freshman. As a sophomore, he earned a walk-on spot on the Northwestern men’s basketball team and appeared in 11 games. As a junior, he did the same, playing in 23 games. Now, on the doorstep of his senior season, Montgomery was given a full scholarship by new coach Chris Collins.
