The New York Rangers Official Twitter Account Had a Really, Really Bad Spelling Gaffe

Alex Galchenyuk scored a goal off his skate late in the Montreal Canadiens win over the New York Rangers on Monday night. The referees ruled that there was no distinct kicking motion by Galchenyuk, so the goal counted.

Seconds later, whoever runs the New York Rangers Twitter accidentally typed too fast and left the O out of “counts.” As you can see in the grab on the right, the result was both inappropriate and hilarious.

The error was quickly corrected and the original tweet was replaced.
