Tickets for Game 6 at Fenway Park Selling for Close to $2,000 Each

Are you a diehard Red Sox fan? Did you name your first three kids Papi, Pedroia and Beardy?
If you want to attend Wednesday night’s Game 6 of the World Series at Fenway Park to see the Sox clinch, you better have some spare change inside your couch cushions to the tune of $2,000. Forbes reports tickets for the potential clincher are averaging that expensive price for tomorrow’s game with the Cardinals, so apparently you can put a numerical figure on “Soxtobah.”
The reason the prices are so high? It’s the first chance for the Sox to clinch at Fenway Park since 1918. In both 2004 and 2007 Boston swept their way to World Series titles. That game in 1918 featured Babe Ruth as a defensive replacement, of all things.
The cost to see the Red Sox do something in Boston for the first time in nearly a century? $2,000.
The cost to buy a fake beard outside Fenway Park? $12.
The chance to do it alongside Sully and the gang? Priceless.
