Ohio Bobcats Get Screwed By Horrible Safety Call

Ohio was trailing Buffalo 7-3 in the 3rd quarter when the referee made one of the worst calls we’ve seen this season. Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton was attempting to escape pressure when he decided to throw the ball away. Tettleton was not outside the hashes so the throw was ruled intentional grounding, but the referee also said that Tettleton made the throw from the end zone and tacked on a safety.

Looking at the video and the picture below, it is very clear that Tettleton was not in the end zone when he released the ball. Tettleton was barely inside the 4 yardline. The play stood as called on the field because the spot of the foul could not be challenged.
