Richie Incognito: Dolphins Considered Him An "Honorary Black Man"
By Ty Duffy
Miami Dolphins have maintained that Richie Incognito is not racist, despite referring to Jonathan Martin as a “half-n—-r.” According to the Miami Herald, Incognito was considered an “honorary black man.” Martin, who some players perceived as soft, was not.
"“Richie is honarary,” one player who left the Dolphins this offseason told me today. “I don’t expect you to understand because you’re not black. But being a black guy, being a brother is more than just about skin color. It’s about how you carry yourself. How you play. Where you come from. What you’ve experienced. A lot of things.”"
Grading levels of “blackness.” The Dolphins locker room sounds like an environment where Rob Parker would have fit right in.
