Josh Huff of Oregon Was Crying at the End of the 3rd Quarter with the Ducks Down 23-0
By Jason McIntyre
Josh Huff, an Oregon receiver, wasn’t hurt at the end of the 3rd quarter when ESPN cameras caught him on the sideline with tears welled in his eyes. But physically and mentally, Stanford spent the first three quarters pounding 3rd-ranked Oregon into submission. Stanford, playing at home, grabbed a 23-0 lead, and barring a miraculous 4th quarter comeback, has knocked Oregon out of the National title picture.
Just like it did last season.
Oregon star QB Marcus Mariota? Well, you can eliminate him from the Heisman Trophy race. His 12-for-26 showing and 3rd quarter fumble mean it’s a Johnny Manziel-Jameis Winston battle for the rest of the season.
And let’s not even bother talk about Mariota’s NFL draft prospects. After a torrid start to the season, Mariota faced a good defense with a few future pros and looked awfully ordinary.
