Michigan pinned Northwestern on its own two-yard line and expected great field position. Brandon Williams’ shanked punt into the wind traveled seven yards, setting Michigan up 1st and Goal. Michigan, as is their wont, went nowhere and kicked a field goal to reduce the deficit to 9-6.
