Draymond Green decided on Friday that he needed to do a better job holding grudges. Then he went out and scored 12 points in the Warriors’ loss to the Lakers. Then he tweeted the above tweet at Bill Simmons.
In Simmons’ defense, Green shot 33% from the field and 21% from behind the 3-point line during his rookie season. Green then stepped his game up in the postseason, shooting 43% from the field and 39% from distance. So far this season Green is shooting 49% from the field and 42% from three. So, Simmons criticized Green’s poor shooting until it improved and then complimented him. That doesn’t seem that unreasonable.
I think Green still needs to work on his grudge-holding. When he holds a good, quality grudge, I will acknowledge it. I really hope he doesn’t see this.
