The Colts Have Demoted Trent Richardson for Donald Brown

If you were in the regrettable position of having to start Trent Richardson in a fantasy match-up with playoff implications today, your fortunes just got even worse. The former Browns running back, who has been stuck in the mud this entire season, has been demoted:

This is the type of news that would, from our perspective, ideally get broken on Jim Irsay’s Twitter account, but we’re just going to have to cope with imagining his inner dialogue in this case.

Since getting traded to Indianapolis for a first round pick, Richardson has averaged 2.8 yards per carry and less than 32 rushing yards per game. His longest run of the season has been 16 yards.
