Andrew McCutchen Proposed to His Girlfriend on 'Ellen' Today

Andrew McCutchen won the National League MVP award last month. His life got even better at a recent taping of the “Ellen” show, when he went down on one knee to propose to his long-time girlfriend Maria. The Pirates star did it in the form of a video, which told the audience that every time he touches home plate after a home run he tips his cap to signify the length of the couple’s relationship.

McCutchen cranked up the romance saying, “I didn’t do it for the publicity, or the recognition, I did this to show the whole world how much I love you, I would do that.”
