Dwyane Wade Proposed to Gabrielle Union

Dwyane Wade proposed to longtime girlfriend Gabrielle Union last night with the help of an enormous ring. She accepted.

The Miami Heat star posted a celebratory photo to Instagram showing a dazzling diamond solitaire on Union’s finger. He must be doing fairly well financially.

The two then attended the team’s holiday party, where Wade bestowed his teammates with green jackets to commemorate last season’s NBA title.

The couple did not provide any more details about the engagement, but a public statement from Wade is expected today. That explains the wild excitement coursing through your veins.

It will be the second marriage for both parties. Union, 41, was married to former NFL running back Chris Howard for five years. Wade, 31, has two children from an eight-year union with Siovaughn Funchess — a relationship which ended bitterly.
