Atlanta had just recovered an amazing onside kick when Jason Snelling tiptoed down the sideline. San Francisco had been up 10 points, but were looking at trailing suddenly, with Atlanta having a 2nd and 1 at the 11 yard line down only 3.

Then San Francisco blitzed, Harry Douglas juggled the ball, and it bounced to Navorro Bowman, who grabbed it, went 89 yards, and put San Francisco in the playoffs. Bowman was the one in on the hands team that let the ball bounce underneath him so that it could get to Snelling.

This means it is down to New Orleans and Arizona for the final (non-NFC East and North) spot. It also means that San Francisco can still win the NFC West, if Seattle loses next week.
