Brock Lesnar UFC Comeback Rumors Swirling Ahead of UFC 168

Brock Lesnar may be in the audience Saturday night at UFC 168. That’s the rumor. A person might attend a UFC fight. That person is the former heavyweight champion and the former biggest drawing name in mixed martial arts. It’s almost too perfect. Lesnar is currently under contract with the WWE and other than a non-answer from Dana White about Lesnar maybe showing up at UFC 168, there is really nothing to this story.

Still, the timing would be perfect for the UFC who just saw Georges St-Pierre walk away from the sport after a split decision win over Johnny Hendricks at UFC 167. Adding fuel to the fire of rumors, Lesnar’s UFC 116 opponent, Shane Carwin is hinting at… something.

If nothing else, Carwin, who retired in May and hasn’t fought since 2011, is interested in a rematch. The UFC has an announcement planned for 6pm today, but this probably isn’t it.

Lesnar has headlined the top two selling PPVs in UFC history and four of the top six. I’m sure Dana White and UFC wouldn’t be opposed to welcoming back the former champ.
