Geno Smith, the Jets rookie QB who has had a few decent moments this season, but has mostly been bad, really wanted this 3rd down conversion in the red zone. So he took to the air, diving for the first and was helicoptered. Yes, the QB got the first down. A play later, defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson plunged in from a yard out for his second score of the season, tying the game at seven. Miami is playing for a playoff spot, but Ryan Tannehill’s accuracy has been poor, and the Dolphins are struggling to move the football.

The Jets lead 14-7 at the half on the strength of a Geno Smith TD run with :03 left in the second quarter.
