New Orleans Wins On the Road at Philadelphia, 26-24, With Game Ending Field Goal

Shayne Graham game winner in NFC Wildcard

New Orleans gets the first road win in the playoffs in franchise history. It wasn’t easy. Despite dominating the action for much of the game (New Orleans out gained Philadelphia 434 to 256), New Orleans could not pull away. Philadelphia took a lead with a late drive to go up by a point, but a good return by Darren Sproles and a horse collar penalty set the Saints up with good field position. From there, they grinded out first downs and ran out the clock, setting up a short Shayne Graham field goal.

On to Seattle, where New Orleans was blown out in the regular season. I expect a much better game.

Also, Saints fan Michael Shamburger wants to add, “I love football.”
