Because not competing in baseball does not take the entire year, Miami Marlins president David Samson will be a contestant on the next season of Survivor. The show was filmed last summer, which would explain his “low profile” at Marlins Park during last season. Since it’s the Marlins, we’ll presume he was furloughed for the show’s duration and any claim to the show’s $1 million prize will be used to finance the club’s debt.
