Arian Foster, like many members of the Houston Texans, put together a 2013 season to forget. His offseason looks like it could get even worse according to reports from TMZ and other outlets that a woman Foster impregnated is taking him to court on Wednesday trying to get a restraining order against him. The woman alleges Foster repeatedly harassed her about getting an abortion.
KHOU advanced the story. It identified the woman as 20-year-old University of Houston student Brittany Norwood whom they interviewed on camera. She claims she was in love with Foster, who is married with children. Norwood says the relationship began in the summer of 2013 during training camp but changed when she informed Foster about the pregnancy:
“He’s like, ‘You can’t have this, you can’t have this kid, like, we cannot bring a child into this, like, think about my kids,’” Norwood said.
She said Foster began sending text messages urging her to end the pregnancy.
“You just can’t bring a life into this world under these circumstances. It’s not fair to anyone. It’s not just about you,” read one message, according to Norwood.
Norwood then claimed Foster’s brother Abdul began to threaten her.
“He’s like, ‘You know, if you loved Arian at all you would have an abortion because this child is going to ruin everything,’” Norwood said. “’Like, our whole family will never accept this child.”
The child in question is due in June. TMZ reported that Norwood has already taken a DNA test that gives her 99.9 percent proof Foster is the father.
