Eight-Year-Old Hockey Fan Has Wish Granted, Ejects Player Before Ceremonial Puck Drop

In the GIF above you see eight-year-old Braden Neinaber conducting a ceremonial puck drop before Sunday’s Capitals/Sabres game. Neinaber, who is afflicted by Langerhans cell histiocytosis, got to meet his favorite player — Washington’s Braden Holtby — as part of a wish fulfillment from Children’s Wish, a Canadian Charity. As part of the wish Neinaber skated and hung out with the Capitals all day Saturday. Then he dropped the puck on Sunday at the Verizon Center.

Neinaber didn’t waste his time in the spotlight, ejecting Sabres’ captain Steve Ott.
