There is a strong argument to be made that NFL players should be allowed to use medicinal marijuana to help with their outrageous array of injuries — and there’s even one to be made that the league should consider permitting recreational use — but given that they aren’t, Davone Bess should at least exercise some more discretion if he wants to keep his job. He posted a similar picture, albeit a little less egregiously, a few weeks ago, so it will be hard for him to claim he got hacked.
After signing a three-year, $11.5 million deal with the Browns last offseason, Bess caught just 42 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns this year before the team designated him for the reserve/non-football illness list in mid-December.
