The Nets Announcers Called Each Other Wankers During the London Game

The Nets and Hawks played Thursday in London and as announcers are wont to do, they started using some British slang to add a little spice to the broadcast. Hey, get it, in England they say players are “knackered” instead of “tired.” Hilarious, right?

It led to the usually excellent Ian Eagle saying to partner Jim Spanarkel,  “what if I called you a wanker” during the first quarter. Eagle is a sharp cookie, so he probably did it tongue firmly in cheek or with a wink.

Let’s use this as an excuse to link to this clip from the underrated British import, “The Inbetweeners” which you ought to add to your Netflix queue. [Video via The Brookyln Way]
