Update: Sherman was apparently fined for making a choking gesture. Maybe if Crabtree hadn’t shoved him in the face he wouldn’t have escalated. It should also be noted that Commissioner Goodell is disappointed in Sherman because he is so “well-spoken.”
Richard Sherman has been fined for his taunting of Michael Crabtree at the end of the NFC Championship game. As covered previously and as you can see below, Sherman’s taunting consisted of trying to shake Crabtree’s hand, telling him “Hell of a game,” and getting shoved in the face by Crabtree. Seriously. He got fined for that. That’s what he was fined for. That. If you need me, I’ll be browsing FACEPALM gifs for the rest of the weekend.
