Shaun White failed to win his third straight gold medal in the snowboarding Halfpipe event. The American finished just out of the medal, placing fourth at Sochi. White fell during his first run and couldn’t overcome the leaders on his second.

Poor guy.

Having said that, good lord how difficult is snowboarding at the Olympic level? Most of us probably couldn’t even pull this stuff off in a video game.

Switzerland’s Iouri Podladtchikov — who likes to go by the I Pod nickname — won gold. Ayumu Hirano and Taku Hiraoka, both of Japan, took silver and bronze respectively.
