Ed Reed, the ball-hawking Hall of Fame safety who starred with the Baltimore Ravens, had $50k stolen out of the front seat of his car in Houston this week. What was Reed doing with $50k in the front seat of his car? That’s unclear.

But police said Reed went to a bank in Houston, then stopped at a Bank of America. Apparently someone had followed him, and smashed the window of  his car and grabbed the bag.

Reed’s fallen on tough times since leaving the Ravens. He flopped badly in Houston last season, and then went to the Jets were he at times looked like Willie Mays lost in the outfield in his later playing days. [via Houston 2]
