The Miami Dolphins are cutting ties with individuals named in the Ted Wells Report. They fired offensive line coach Jim Turner, mentioned 90 times in the report, notably for pressuring Martin to defend Incognito publicly. They also fired longtime trainer Kevin O’Neill, who was cited laughing at abuse of both Martin and an Asian-American trainer, as well as being notably uncooperative with the investigation.
O’Neill had just flown to Indianapolis with Dolphins staff members for the Combine. He was set to be given an award, after being named the league’s best trainer by his colleagues.
Head coach Joe Philbin will address the media tomorrow at 9:45am.
