Raymond Felton is facing gun charges, but the initial reports about Felton pointing it at a girlfriend appear to be false. The New York Daily News reports that Felton turned himself in after his wife, Ariane Raymondo-Felton, brought the gun to police because she didn’t want it in the house. From NYDN:

"The raven-haired beauty — a Cornell University grad who is now studying at Fordham University School of Law — filed for divorce from Felton after the couple married just 19 months ago and, according to a police source, was uncomfortable that the handgun was being kept in the home. “She had knowledge that the gun was there,” the source said. “She said she didn’t want the gun there anymore.”"

The Wall Street Journal has more details:

"Ms. Felton and the attorney representing her in divorce proceedings took the gun, which had 17 bullets in the magazine and one in the chamber, to the 20th precinct station house in Manhattan Monday evening because she no longer wanted it in the home, the official said. Ms. Felton, 26, said that on four occasions, most recently Feb. 14, Mr. Felton waved the weapon around in an aggressive way but didn’t point it at her, according to the official."

So Felton wasn’t threatening a girlfriend and he didn’t point his gun at his wife, but I still don’t think this is good. Felton is facing three charges, including two felonies.
