Vietnamese Soccer Player Earns 28-Game Ban for Horrible, Leg-Breaking Tackle
By Mike Cardillo
Tran Dinh Dong, a Vietnamese international defender, picked up a record 28-game ban for his rash, flying challenge that broke the leg of Nguyen Anh Hung in a league game last week. As a result Dong will miss the rest of the 2014 calendar year and will also have to pay Dong’s medical bills.
Calling this a challenge or a tackle is a bit unfair since, even with the poor video quality, you can see it’s more of a two-foot stamp you’d see in Street Fighter II.
Don’t get any idea Ryan Shawcross or Nigel de Jong.
