Zlatan Ibrahimovic knows kung fu. Seriously, he does and this isn’t just some lame callback to The Matrix. Okay maybe it is some lame Matrix callback because how else to explain Ibrahimovic’s ability to bend like that on a soccer field? Earlier this season he scored via a kung fu back-heel kick, giving us a contender for the European Goal of the Season. Now the big Swede offered up a similar move during Saturday’s PSG/Bastia game, setting up teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi with a overhead back-heel from the halfway line.

Sweden didn’t qualify for the World Cup, so it’s going to be difficult for Ibrahimovic to wrest the Balon d’Or away from either Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Even so, the Swede is in the form of his career at PSG, doing things few mere mortals would even attempt.

The Champions League Round of 16 resumes this week. PSG will cruise in the quarterfinals after ripping apart Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 in the first leg. PSG still are hovering around 12-to-1 odds to win the tournament. If you’re a betting man or woman it might be worth a flier based simply on the unstoppable form of Ibrahimovic. Basically the only thing he hasn’t done at the club level is win the Champions League, something he appears determined to change this spring.
