Kevin Youkilis is Big in Japan

Former Red Sox star and Yankee Kevin Youkilis signed with the Rakuten Golden Eagles in Japan for a final baseball season. He could earn around $5 million with bonuses. The 35-year-old, an all-star as recently as 2011, missed most of last season after back surgery. He has clearly taken the opportunity, leaving the Yankees, to regrow his facial hair.
We’re guessing it’s only a matter of time before Bobby Valentine is slamming him on Japanese television. On a semi-related note, the earnest Rotten Tomatoes reviews for Mr. Baseball are a semi-amusing read if you have some time.
