According to Greg Anthony of NBATV, Phil Jackson has officially accepted an offer from the New York Knicks as President of Basketball Operations. Assuming this means James Dolan never gets to make another decision, that glimmer of hope Knicks fans have been desperately clamoring for appears to finally be here.
While media and fans alike have every reason to be excited for this move just as much as they have a right to be skeptical, you can be damn sure deplorable trades like Andrea Bargnani for three players and three draft picks won’t be happening during Phil Jackson’s tenure in New York.
