Jim Irsay Failed Several Sobriety Tests, Charged with Four Felony Counts of Controlled Substance

Jim Irsay’s arrest for DUI and possession of controlled substances is going to be an enormous NFL story in the coming days/weeks as details – and inevitably punishment – trickle out. According to the Indianapolis Star, police say that Irsay is charged with four felony counts for possession of controlled substance. Police found “several” bottles of prescription medication in the Colts owner’s car, including some of the Schedule IV variety.

On SportsCenter, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that people in the Colts building had been “suspicious” of Irsay’s behavior recently. In the past, Irsay has sought treatment for alcohol and Vicodin addiction. He remains in police custody.
