Toronto's Paul Ranger Taken Off Ice on Stretcher Following Brutal Check into Boards [UPDATE]

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Paul Ranger took a vicious check from Tampa Bay’s Alex Killorn during Tuesday night’s game in Toronto near the end of the first period. After a long delay Ranger was taken off the ice via a stretcher. Toronto says it will provide an update on Ranger’s condition when it becomes available.

Paul Ranger was taken to local hospital for precautionary assessment this evening during tonight's game. He is stable, conscious and alert.
