Polish Gonzaga sophomore Przemek Karnowski got fouled quickly by Oklahoma State upon grabbing a rebound, and play-by-play guy Andrew Catalon said they were employing the “hack-a-Polack” strategy. Polack is recognized as a disparaging term, and Catalon apologized twice (once below, and once at the 1:19-mark in the game) for using the slur:
Update: Catalon has also apologized on Twitter:
I am truly sorry and I have personally spoken and apologized to Przemek Karnowski, who was very gracious in accepting my apology.

Mr. @AndrewCatalon has just apologized in my person and I really appreciate it! But the most important thing right now is we have this W!
