Richard Sherman and DeSean Jackson Played on the Same Little League Team [Photo]

Richard Sherman tweeted this picture Saturday afternoon of his Holly Park Little League team circa 1999. The significance of the photo? It doubles as a sign of support from Sherman to his former Little League teammate, ex-Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Sherman is a Compton, Calif., native, while Jackson was born in Los Angeles where Holly Park Little League has operated since 1957.
The Eagles released the 27-year-old Jackson on Friday shortly after a report about his alleged gang connections went public. Jackson strongly denied those accusations. He remains in-demand and numerous teams have already been linked to his services.
I’ll just say this: those black-and-teal Florida Marlins jerseys in Sherman’s photo are great.
